Extra-thin and even wall thicknesses allow for optimal heat transfer and short cycle times. Smooth shaft surfaces minimize enzyme and nucleic acid binding to the surface ensuring the reaction can run in full. The reinforced top plate holds the PCR plate flat even during heating, making it easier to use in automated systems such as pipetting robots.
The edges of the wells are shaped so as to protect against cross-contamination and provide a reliable seal with sealing foil matched to the plates. PP, white. Suitable for qPCR. 0.15 ml tubes. Semi-skirted. With black alpha-numeric code. Available with and without self-adhesive sealing foils (polyester, highly transparent for qPCR). For medium and high sample throughput, 96-well plates from BRAND are the efficient solution for PCR and qPCR and can be conveniently filled with multichannel pipettes or pipetting robots.The uniform and thin wall thicknesses of the wells ensure rapid transfer of the temperature from the cycler to the sample, thus reducing cycle times.A number of skirt choices ensures a good fit in common thermal cyclers for efficient heat transfer. For high flexibility, unskirted plates are the first choice. For clear identification, a barcode can be applied to semi-skirted plates. The same applies to fully-skirted plates, which are ideal for automation due to their rigidity. For qPCR, white plates are available that optimally reflect the fluorescence signals.Self-adhesive films or cap strips seal the plate securely and protect it from evaporation losses, which is especially important for small volumes.The cleanroom quality of the PCR consumables, including PCR plates from BRAND, guarantees reliable results. They are free of DNase, DNA, RNase, and endotoxins.
