Non-sterile Minisart® SRP syringe filters are supplied in a pouch in one pack. This reduces waste and makes the handling easier whenever the application allows clarification under non-sterile conditions, like this is the case for the majority of sample preparation steps prior to HPLC or GC analysis. The low-binding PTFE membrane is the best option for leachable free filtration whenever highest chemical compatibility and pH values of 1 - 14 are needed. For hydrophilic solutions pre-rinsing with a solvent is necessary to make the hydrophobic membrane permeable for aqueous liquids. Due to the hydrophobic nature Minisart SRP can also be used for venting. The housing of the filter is made of PP (polypropylene) which is compatibility with harsh solvents, acids and bases.
