Non-sterile Minisart® Acticosart syringe filters are supplied in bulk packs. This reduces waste and makes the handling easier whenever the application allows venting under non-sterile conditions. Due to its hydrophobic nature the PTFE membrane functions as a water barrier and does not become wetted by aerosols. This keeps the hydrophobic venting filter permeable for gas or air! The active carbon filling adsorbs molecules, e.g. unpleasant smell resulting from polymerisation reactions. The housing of the filter is made of MBS (Methacrylate butadiene styrene) which has a limited compatibility with alcohols but is free of phthalates and passes the plastic class VI test. It is glueable, e.g. to tubing, what enables assembly and sterilization by the user. Bulk packs for less waste PVC-free Active carbon filling Glueable, e.g. to tubing
